Estimated Lead Time |
| The current delivery time for a new order is approximately
6 months for both
rods and blanks. On occasion I have finished rods and/or blanks available
for immediate sale. To see current inventory please take a look at the
For Sale page. |

How to Order |
| To discuss details of an order please get in touch with me via
email or by
phone. If you decide to call,
please remember that I am located in Alaska which is 1 hour earlier than Pacific time
and 4 hours earlier than East Coast time. I am usually available after
10am AST. Please leave a message if I am unavailable
and I will return your call at the time that is most convenient for you. I
do fish and spent some of my time at my cabin in the woods, especially in the
warmer months, so please be understanding if, on the rare chance, it is a couple
days before I get back with you. |

|
Deposit |
| There is no deposit required to place an order for a bamboo
rod or blank. |
|
|
Build Status |
| In order to help keep coordinated with all the details of a rod or
blank, and to keep you readily informed of the progress, I have a
Build Status page that lists the rods and blanks that are on order
and their current construction status. By clicking on your Rod ID you
will also find a detailed Rod Page with specifics on the rod or blank
that you are ordering. Making the details available to both of us in
this manner helps me to be sure you are getting exactly what you want. |
|
|
Ready to Start the Build |
| At the point where I am ready to start the build and/or start ordering specific components and other hardware, I'll get in touch to confirm that everything on your Rod Page is accurate. If you want to make any final changes, this is your last chance. Once we have confirmed all the details it usually takes 2-4 weeks for me to complete your rod. |
|
|
Changing an Order |
| I am always happy to make changes and adjustments to your order at any time
before the point-of-no-return, so to speak. For example, I'd be happy to
change your preferred wrap color as long as it is before I
have wrapped the rod. |
|
|
Price Changes |
| As with any business there are times when I need to adjust my prices.
If I do change my prices at any point after you have placed an
order the price for your rod or blank will not increase.
The price listed on my website and that you are quoted at the
time of your order is the price that you will be charged when
that order is complete. |

Balance Due & Payments |
The balance on a rod or blank can be paid anytime before I
am ready to ship the item. Payment in full must be received and
cleared before I can ship. I currently accept personal checks,
money orders / cashier's checks, major credit cards (through a
secure, professional online system, not over the phone) and Paypal.
When I have a rod finished and ready to ship I'll take a few photographs
and email them to you. At that point payment is due within 2 weeks
of the date that I send the email. If payment isn't received
or other arrangements haven't been made within 2 weeks I reserve the
right to sell the rod to another customer.
I do often have customers who ask to make payments on their rod or blank in
order to spread out the cost. I'm always happy to setup a payment
schedule that works best for you be it one payment, one payment a month
or anything in between. |

Shipping & Insurance |
Within the United States I prefer to ship via USPS Priority
Mail. Delivery time ranges from 4-8 business days on average.
Average shipping fees within the US usually run between $15 and
$20. Optional insurance adds $5-10 to the cost but is
strongly recommended. Price estimates can be figured via
the USPS.com
online system. Rods and blanks are securely packaged and
usually weigh between 3 and 4 pounds ready to ship.
Express delivery can be arranged as well.
For locations outside the US, I ship via USPS if possible, and if not (usually
due to length restrictions, which can be as short as 34") via FedEx. Prices
have increased dramatically over the past half year and vary greatly with
tube length, carrier and destination. Most USPS Global Express deliveries
cost around $60 while FedEx rates are now between $150 and $200 (!).
The buyer is responsible for the full shipping cost plus any incurred customs fees and other duties and I always insure
and declare the full value of the item(s) being shipped. I can happily
provide a shipping estimate upon placing your rod order, but am unable to
estimate any other import fees and duties. |

Warranty |
| I have put a significant amount of time and effort into testing rods and refining techniques that allow me make the most durable bamboo rods possible. However, things happen and rods still sometimes get damaged or broken. Simply put, if a rod is damaged and it is your fault, I'm happy to work with you to repair or replace the part at a reasonable cost. If a rod is damaged and it was my fault, I will rectify the problem at no cost to you except for the expense of shipping the rod or section to me. |
